Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a CEI Inspector for the Tampa area. You will apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing construction activities to ensure structural quality, safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes.

Essential duties include reviewing plans and specifications, performing material tests, measuring elevations, and maintaining field records. Requires a HS diploma, 2 years in construction inspection, 1 year in bridge/roadway work and an active driver’s

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or better.
• Two years of construction inspection experience.
• One year in bridge/roadway construction.
• Active driver’s license required.
• QTQP certifications to be obtained within six months of hire under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, site layouts, specs and construction methods to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils and materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify levels and elevations of structures and pavements.
• Maintain field notes and calculations; keep accurate records.
