Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Manager of Secure Technologies Product Management to lead CDS/MLS development and delivery within the ProTect portfolio. This onsite role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure milestones are met and customer requirements are satisfied.

The ideal candidate balances technical knowledge with business acumen, maintains DoD Secret clearance, and travels up to 10% domestically.

Qualifications

• Requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• An Advanced Degree with a minimum of 5 years in a related field is preferred.
• Experience in project management activities, including resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, EVM, schedule management, financial monitoring, and reporting.
• Experience managing multiple contracts and subcontracts of varying types and complexity, in multi-vendor environments.
• Experience identifying technical program risks and opportunities and developing mitigation and management plans.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead IR&D programs and oversee CDS/MLS development and production programs, including customer- and company-funded initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and technical resources to support CDS/MLS product development and transitions from EMD to LRIP and full production.
• Monitor portfolio performance against plans and requirements; implement adjustments to maintain execution and delivery commitments.
• Serve as primary backup to Lead Program Manager during absences and lead stakeholder meetings to communicate deliverables and status.
• Support CDS/MLS roadmapping and capital investments, including business cases for internal investments.
