Job summary

Herman N Logistics is seeking a CDL-A Yard Spotter for a Monday-Friday schedule in Texas. You will spot 53' dry van trailers with a yard tractor and work either 1st or 2nd shift, with occasional Saturdays and overtime available.

Requirements include a valid CDL-A, at least 22 years old, and up-to-date DOT compliance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) matching. Yard experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with current record.
• 9 months tractor-trailer experience within past 3 years.
• Must be at least 22 years old.
• No more than 3 moving violations in 3 years; DOT compliance.
• Able to read and speak English for driving and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated yard operations.
• Spot 53' dry van trailers using a yard tractor.
• Operate yard tractor and manage spot operations.
• Occasional Saturday work and overtime coverage as needed.

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
• Must be at least 22 years old
• No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to restrictions
• No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years
• Must meet DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for driving, communication, and required documentation
• Additional qualifications may apply
