Job summary

Herman N Logistics in Rialto/Fontana is seeking a full-time Yard Spotter to maneuver 53' dry vans and operate yard tractors on a four-day schedule. Home daily with coverage at both Rialto and Fontana yards.

CDL is preferred but non-CDL applicants are accepted. Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years, 22+ years old, and compliant with DOT Clearinghouse and safety requirements are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
• Must be at least 22 years old and eligible for the DOT Clearinghouse.
• CDL preferred; non-CDL accepted.
• English reading and speaking sufficient for safety and job duties.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver 53' dry van trailers within the facility.
• Operate yard tractors.
• Home daily; cover both Rialto and Fontana yards.
• Support a full-time floater yard spotter role.

TARGET Yard Spotter – Good Pay + Overtime | 4-Day Workweek

Earn up to $27 per hour plus overtime while working a four-day schedule. CDL and non-CDL positions are available for experienced yard spotters, with opportunities to work between Rialto and Fontana facilities.

Pay Details

Class A CDL:

• $27/hour – PM shift
• $25.50/hour – AM shift

Non-CDL:

• $25/hour – PM shift
• $23.50/hour – AM shift

Additional Pay:

• Overtime after 8 hours per day
• +$0.75/hour when working as a floater between Rialto and Fontana
• Paid weekly

Shift Details

• 4-day workweek
• Current schedule: Friday-Monday
• PM shift
• Friday: 4:45 PM-3:00 AM
• Saturday-Monday: 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
• Schedule may vary based on operational needs

Job Requirements

• Previous yard experience required
• Class A CDL preferred; non-CDL applicants accepted
• Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
• Must be at least 22 years old
• No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
• No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years
• Must meet DOT Clearinghouse requirements
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for safety and job duties
• Additional qualifications may apply
