Job summary

Gordon Food Service in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a CDL A Delivery Driver – Home Daily. You will deliver food products to customers, build relationships, and enjoy home time with local routes and day shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A CDL license.
• Must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission.
• Ability to unload cases up to 100 lbs and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Clean driving record; DOT compliance and background checks.
• Pass a drug test and be registered with the DOT Clearinghouse.
• Food or Beverage delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more.
• Build relationships with customers on local routes with home daily time.
• Unload goods at delivery stops and assist with loading where needed.
• Operate a ramp and two-wheeler while handling deliveries.
• Adhere to schedule: Mon-Sat with early starts and routes until completion.

CDL A Delivery Driver - Home Daily

No Auto Restriction; must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission.

Location

250 Truck & Trailer Way, West Palm Beach FL

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule

Monday to Saturday, with a flexible start time between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM, until the route is finished. With two days off during the week

Pay

Weekly minimum guaranteed: $1,100 per week

• Drivers average $99K/year
• Daily base pay, plus component pay
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License required
• Must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission
• Food or Beverage delivery experience preferred
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
