Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Local CDL A Delivery Driver to provide home daily deliveries from our Orlando area location. The role involves building relationships with customers while delivering food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities.

You will unload cases up to 100 lbs and operate a ramp and two-wheeler on local routes, with daily home time. Requirements include a Class A CDL, ability to read and communicate in English, and preference for food/beverage delivery

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and unload cargo.

Local CDL A Delivery Driver - Home Daily!

Location: 744 Central Florida Pkwy, Orlando FL

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule

• Relief driver
• Monday to Saturday
• Flexible start time between 3:00 AM and 5:00AM - Until the route is finished

Pay

• Drivers average $90K/year
• Weekly minimum guaranteed: $1,100 per week.
• Daily base pay, plus component pay
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License is required
• Food and/or beverage delivery experience preferred
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
