Standard Textile in Hebron Estates, KY, is seeking a skilled Yard Jockey with a valid CDL to move trailers and containers around the facility. All duties occur on company property with no public-road driving.

The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to safety, reliability, and the ability to maneuver trailers in a fast-paced environment. You will perform daily inspections, coordinate with warehouse personnel, and assist with light maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A/B license with clean driving record.
• DOT medical card and DOT drug test compliance.
• Minimum 1 year of yard truck operation experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers and containers around the yard and loading docks, ensuring they are properly positioned for loading and unloading.
• Perform daily inspections of yard tractors and trailers to ensure they are in safe and operational condition.
• Coordinate with warehouse and dock personnel to manage trailer locations and availability.
• Secure trailers by setting the parking brakes, chocking wheels, and ensuring proper placement.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard, ensuring trailers and equipment are stored properly and safely.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or damage to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks as needed, such as checking fluid levels and ensuring equipment cleanliness.
• Follow all company safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in distribution responsibilities as assigned when yard responsibilities have been completed. This includes but is not limited to operating a forklift, loading and unloading trucks, and placing products on pallets.
• Contribute to team productivity goals while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
