Job summary

Standard Textile is seeking a skilled Yard Jockey to move trailers and trucks within our facility. A valid CDL and DOT compliance are required, with duties performed on company property only.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and the ability to maneuver trailers efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior yard/warehouse coordination and good communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A license with 53ft trailer capability.
• DOT compliance and medical card.
• Prior yard jockey or trailer handling experience preferred.
• Ability to operate yard trucks and forklifts safely.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers and containers around yard and docks for loading/unloading.
• Perform daily inspections of yard tractors and trailers for safety.
• Coordinate trailer locations with warehouse and dock staff.
• Secure trailers with parking brakes and wheel chocks.
• Maintain clean, organized yard and report equipment issues.
• Assist with light maintenance and fluid checks as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
