Job summary

Farmer Focus in Virginia seeks a dedicated Yard Driver/Jockey to safely move trailers, containers, and trucks around yard and shipping areas, supporting plant and logistics operations. A current Class A Virginia CDL is required and compliance with DOT/OSHA safety standards is essential.

This full-time, in-person role operates on the 2nd shift with travel between plants, and involves physical outdoor labor in varying weather. Strong logs/records discipline is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have current Class A Virginia CDL and be able to pass CDL background review.
• DOT and OSHA safety requirements must be followed.
• Ability to perform general outdoor labor in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to maintain logs and records as required by law and company policy.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks around the yard to switch empty and full containers between shipping areas and trailer parking areas.
• Move trailers safely and efficiently to support shipping, receiving, production, and logistics needs.
• Drive trailers that require maintenance to third-party repair providers as needed.
• Perform daily housekeeping of assigned trailers and tractors.
• Operate a forklift when necessary and authorized.
• Establish cooperative working relationships with team members, supervisors, vendors, and others contacted during work assignments.
