GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a dedicated CDL Driver for residential waste collection on curbside and backdoor routes in Houston. You will operate rear-load or automated trucks, assist helpers, and ensure safe, courteous service to customers.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
At least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
Must be able to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.
Must be able to meet safety sensitive functions according to company standards.

Responsibilities

Drives a rear-load, split body, curotto, or automated-side load truck on designated routes to collect waste and take to facilities.
Assists helpers in loading solid waste when needed.
Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submits vehicle condition reports.
Courteously engages with customers and responds to requests.
Maintains DOT logbook, route productivity sheet, and post-trip inspection sheet as required by law or policy.
Follows DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulations and standards.
Backs up using mirrors and GPS to locate service addresses.
