Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver with a Class B CDL to operate a collection truck and deliver prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role requires pre- and post-inspection of the vehicle, adherence to safety standards, and timely reporting of vehicle condition reports.

You will read route sheets, service customers, load waste, and comply with all safety regulations while maintaining professional interaction with customers and dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Experience with vehicle inspections and safety policies a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure tires, fluids and safety equipment are in good order.
• Safely operate the truck along designated routes and service customers per dispatcher instructions.
• Load refuse and operate the compactor to dispose of materials at the designated facility.
• Interact professionally with customers and dispatchers to service routes on time.
• Identify unsatisfactory containers and tag them per procedures.
• Monitor waste quality and maintain a clean work area after spills.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and complete required route and safety reports.
