Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Driver- CDL (B) responsible for safely operating a collection truck and delivering prompt waste removal services. You will perform vehicle inspections, ensure regulatory compliance, and complete daily reports to support efficient service routes.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle per policy to ensure safety and report issues.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the route and service each customer as identified.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable waste and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and clean waste from packer blade and truck body as needed.
• Complete route productivity sheets, VCRs and other required reports.
• Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely service for customers.
• Follow safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
