Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and efficiently provide waste collection services on curbside routes in Illinois. You will operate a rear-load or side-load truck, load and compact waste, and ensure on-time collection while following all safety policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Able to meet safety-sensitive criteria and operate heavy-duty waste collection vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on assigned route.
• Load waste/recyclables into vehicle and compact as required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete reports.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and follow safety policies.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor promptly.
• Overtime may be required.
