Job summary

WM is seeking CDL drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks for waste collection and recycling services. You will transport materials to disposal or transfer facilities, perform vehicle inspections, and maintain safe, efficient routes in various environments.

The role requires CDL A or B with air-brake endorsements and clean driving records, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and customer service. Training and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
• 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports.
• Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical.
• CDL Class A with an air-brake endorsement or CDL Class B with an air-brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and documents checks.
• Notifies management of safety issues, incidents, or service interruptions.
• Participates in required training and aligns with route efficiencies and best practices.
• Routes include residential, commercial, and roll-off operations requiring careful backing maneuvers.
