City of Cookeville is seeking a Truck Driver II (Floater - Commercial/Residential) to operate automated side-loading, front-loading, or roll-off sanitation trucks on assigned routes.

Under general supervision, you will conduct vehicle inspections, follow safety practices, and work a flexible Monday–Friday schedule with potential weekend shifts. Prior sanitation truck experience is preferred but not always required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a TN commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Experience operating a sanitation truck or other heavy equipment is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate automated side-loading, front-loading, or roll-off sanitation trucks on assigned routes.
• Inspect equipment and perform basic maintenance as needed while on duty.
• Follow safety procedures and drive under general supervision.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends as required.
