Job summary

Waste Management is hiring CDL drivers to operate front, side, or rear-load trucks and safely transport waste or recyclables to disposal sites. Roles include residential and roll-off driving with emphasis on safe backing, logistics, and customer service.

Qualifications

CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement required.
1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year military driving in the last 7 years.
Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete records.
Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

Operates vehicle in accordance with WM safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements.
Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Reports unsafe situations or service issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
Attends required trainings and briefs to support route performance and safety.
Works with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and share best practices.
Notifies Operations Manager of incidents, service interruptions, or safety hazards.
Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer site clean and debris-free.
