Job summary

Republic Services is offering a Driver Trainee program in the United States. Trainees will undergo comprehensive CDL training, including classroom study, on-route instruction, and the loan of a truck to prepare for the CDL examination.

After CDL attainment, the role transitions into a Driver position across Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off lines. The program includes a full twelve months of employment post-CDL and ongoing safety-focused responsibilities on a designated route with

Qualifications

• No prohibitions to obtaining a commercial drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

• Complete Republic Services’ CDL training program, including classroom study, on-route training, driving experience, and resources to take the state CDL examination.
• Complete twelve (12) months of employment with Republic Services after obtaining a CDL.
• Learn to perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, and safety equipment are in proper working order.
• Learn to safely operate a heavy or commercial truck along a designated route and to the disposal site, reading route sheets and servicing customers as assigned.
