Central Texas College's CDL Truck Driving program is led by a director responsible for curriculum, instructors, student training, equipment, safety, and records.

The director partners with employers and community stakeholders to support student success and placement, ensures compliance with FMCSA/DOT and college requirements, and guides program evaluation and improvement.

Evening and weekend scheduling, budgeting, and reporting are managed to maintain instructional quality and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent with industry credentials meeting faculty equivalency standards.
• Valid Class A CDL and 36 months verifiable driving experience within past 10 years.
• Experience supervising personnel or coordinating training.
• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT requirements applicable to CDL training.

Responsabilités

• Direct the planning, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of CDL instruction.
• Supervise, schedule, support, and evaluate instructors and program personnel.
• Oversee curriculum, syllabi, training materials, and student assessments.
• Maintain student attendance, training records, testing, and licensing reports.
• Build relationships with employers and community partners to support placement.
• Support recruitment, enrollment, student retention, testing preparation, and career placement efforts.
