Smyrna Ready Mix, LLC is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to transport cement from terminals to SRM plants. You’ll perform inspections, handle logs, and communicate with dispatch to ensure safe, on-time deliveries while upholding SRM’s safety standards and customer service.

Local routes with possible overtime align with our 5 Principles of Service. Qualified candidates have 2+ years of Class A tanker experience, a current DOT Medical Card, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required
• DOT Medical Card current
• 2 years’ tanker driving experience
• Clean driving record (5 years)
• Knowledge of DOT regs and safety standards
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Time management and reliability
• Good communication with dispatch and customers
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A tanker truck to transport cement to SRM locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Complete logs and delivery paperwork per DOT and company policy
• Coordinate with dispatch for delivery instructions
• Ensure secure loading/unloading and prevent spills
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites
• Report defects or incidents promptly
• Stay updated on safety regulations and company policies
