Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to transport cement between supply terminals and SRM plants. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and communicate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires at least 2 years of Class A tanker experience, a clean driving record, a current DOT Medical Card, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required with tanker endorsement: not always required but helpful.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck transporting cement to SRM locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Maintain logs, delivery documentation, and paperwork per DOT and company policies.
• Coordinate with dispatch for delivery instructions and route updates.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading to prevent spills or contamination.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites and report defects or incidents promptly.
