Smyrna Ready Mix, LLC is seeking a Safety-focused Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to transport cement from terminals to SRM Concrete plants. You will perform pre-trip inspections, document delivery records, and maintain DOT compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

Requires a valid Class A CDL, DOT Medical Card, and at least 2 years of tanker experience with a clean driving record. Local/regional routes with home time are available; SRM offers benefits and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Tanker Endorsement helpful but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
• Commitment to SRM’s 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to SRM plant locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Complete and maintain logbooks, delivery paperwork, and DOT documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch for delivery instructions and route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading and prevent spills or contamination.
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures for material transport.
• Deliver professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents, or violations promptly.
• Stay updated on safety regulations and company policies.
