City of Waco is seeking a reliable candidate to operate heavy equipment or sanitation trucks in support of the Public Works Department, Solid Waste Division. The position involves transporting materials to the landfill, transfer station, and recycling center under supervision.

Essential duties include operating trucks or heavy equipment, maintaining safety standards, and potentially responding after hours during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Texas Class B CDL required within 90 days.
• Written permit required at time of application.
• 6 months of heavy equipment operations and/or commercial vehicle experience.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Operate sanitation trucks for solid waste collection to the City landfill, transfer station, and recycling center; follow safety regulations and maintain logs.
• Operate specialized heavy equipment at landfill or transfer station; monitor work environment for safety and inspect/maintain equipment.
• May be required to respond after hours, including holidays and weekends, in emergencies.
