Job summary

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience with heavy equipment, plus a Texas Class B CDL. The position emphasizes public interaction, confidentiality, and responsive reporting of issues

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years' work experience operating heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of safety policies and practices in public streets.
• Texas State Commercial Driver's License Class B required.

Responsibilities

• Operates various machinery to move and transfer solid waste and empty trash containers.
• Maintains and inspects equipment; reports defects and maintenance needs.
• Follows safety procedures and reports hazards or emergencies.
• Maintains regular attendance to support divisional operations.
• Interact courteously with the public and City staff; protect city information.
