OTC Services is seeking a qualified Side Load recycling driver in New Jersey to operate a recycling collection vehicle, perform safety inspections, and follow scheduled routes. The role emphasizes safety, accurate reporting, and clear communication with supervisors.

Requires a valid CDL with air brake endorsement, DOT medical certification, and a clean MVR. The position includes benefits and a focus on safe, efficient waste collection operations.

Formación

• Possess a valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Must meet and maintain DOT medical certification requirements.
• Must maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record per organizational standards.
• No DUI/DWI convictions and no MVR points within 3 years of hire.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, maps, and route sheets.
• Ability to complete required documentation accurately.
• Ability to safely operate hydraulic collection systems and controls.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Drive and operate a Side Load recycling collection vehicle in full compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, document results, and report defects immediately.
• Follow assigned collection routes and schedules according to established procedures.
• Operate side-load hydraulic arm and automated controls, ensuring proper container positioning and clear collection area.
• Maintain visibility and safety using seating position, mirrors, and cameras during operations.
• Report accidents, injuries, equipment damage, and near-miss incidents to supervision.
• Complete driver logs, inspection reports, and collection documentation accurately and timely.
• Communicate with supervisors via radio or phone regarding route progress, delays, or issues.
