Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Edmond, OK is seeking a CDL bus driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, and maintains a clean driving record.

You will transport students and volunteers, obey traffic laws, maintain the bus, perform inspections, refuel, and foster a calm, caring environment. Eligibility includes CDL with passenger endorsement and faith alignment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P)
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred
• Age 21–80; annual renewal for drivers over 75
• No at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last 5 years
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug/alcohol testing
• Yearly Physician's Statement required for known medical conditions

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle; demonstrate calm, caring demeanor
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom activities if agreed
