Job summary

Monroe School District Transportation in Washington seeks a Bus Driver CDL for a 4-hour minimum unassigned position. You will operate school buses on regular routes and field trips, under supervision of the Supervisor of Transportation, ensuring safety and compliance with district policies and state regulations.

Requires WA Class B CDL with appropriate endorsements, School Bus Driver Authorization, and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 5 years experience as a licensed driver of a passenger vehicle
• WA State driver’s license; Class B, CDL with endorsements
• School bus driver authorization
• CPR and First Aid qualifications must be obtained and maintained

Responsibilities

• Adhere to federal and state laws and district regulations
• Mandatory reporter for incidents of child abuse, harassment, intimidation, bullying, boundary invasions
• Observe confidentiality regarding student information
• Maintain regular punctual attendance
• Maintain updated route sheets and student safety on bus
• Conduct safety inspections and perform routine bus maintenance checks
• Load/unload students safely and maintain order on the bus
• Assist with proper use of equipment and adhere to safety policies
