Job summary

Waste Pro in Concord, NC is seeking energetic CDL drivers with side-load experience to service residential routes. The role requires a Class A or B CDL and a clean driving record, plus DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state where working and a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines and DOT requirements for operators.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Operate refuse truck equipment following safety procedures and rules.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly.
• Follow written and oral instructions and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives assigned residential routes and dumps garbage/recycle on schedule.
• Provides courteous, expeditious service to customers.
• Maintains a positive attitude toward company and municipal goals.
• Ensures proper pickup and transfer of waste at designated facilities.
• Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and DVIR as required.
• Keeps truck clean and reports any mechanical issues.
• Manages manual tasks like lifting and moving debris as needed.
• Completes company and regulatory reports on time.
• Supervises helpers on the vehicle during routes.
• Complies with all DOT and state CMV requirements.
