Job summary

Waste Management seeks Commercial Drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks across residential, commercial, and roll-off routes. Candidates must have an CDL A or B with an air-brake endorsement and at least 1 year of CDL driving in the last 7 years.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adhere to safety rules, attend trainings, and complete end-of-day paperwork with on-the-job training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving (last 7 years).
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle using DVIR.
• Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attends and participates in scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings.
• Completes end-of-day documentation and checkout process, and assists other drivers as needed.
