Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling seeks a Recycling Driver to service assigned routes, hauling recyclable materials to a processing facility. The role requires physical exertion, frequent entry/exit from the truck, and adherence to safety policies.

Duties include loading, unloading, route management, and customer interaction. This position operates in varying weather and urban conditions, with shift flexibility, and requires a valid Class B CDL and a DOT Medical Card.

Qualifications

• Reading and speaking English to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
• CDL driving experience preferred or a strong driving background.
• Waste or recycling industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Provide recycling removal services on assigned route by emptying receptacles into truck.
• Replace recycling receptacles at curb or designated area.
• Clean up spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route sheets and maps.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete DVIR logs.
• Maintain and update drivers log sheets.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Maintain a clean truck.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
