Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Kentucky is seeking a reliable Driver to provide trash and recycling collection on assigned routes, loading and unloading containers as needed, and delivering them safely to disposal sites. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain driver logs, and interact professionally with customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand route maps.
• Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day on the assigned route.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route and driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned
