Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Irvine, KY is hiring a Residential Rear Load Driver to operate a collection truck on residential routes, loading waste or recycling for disposal or processing. You will serve diverse neighborhoods and maintain safety on every haul.

The role requires a Class B CDL, DOT medical card, and a willingness to work nights and weekends. Candidates must be at least 19, with a clean driving record and strong customer communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card prior to hire.
• Must be at least 19 years old.
• No DUI/OVI in last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area
• Clean up waste spills and overflows
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
