Job summary

Monarch Cement Company in Merriam, KS is seeking a Ready-Mixed Concrete Truck Driver. This is a non-exempt, on-site role involving driving a heavy ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to job sites while maintaining communication with base and ensuring safety and professional conduct.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspection, loading concrete, delivering on schedule, proper discharge, and post-delivery truck cleaning. Must pass DOT requirements and hold a valid CDL with endorsements.

Qualifications

• Reads and follows supervisor instructions.
• Reads and speaks English sufficiently to interact with the public and complete reports.
• Possesses a valid CDL Class A or B with endorsements.
• Must pass federal DOT drug/alcohol screening and physical.
• Maintains a satisfactory driving record in line with regulations and company policy.
• Adheres to safety requirements and uses PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition, checking fluids and tire pressure.
• Loads truck with ready-mix concrete and checks slump.
• Delivers to destinations, identifies routes, operates vehicle, and maintains schedule.
• Discharges concrete, maneuvers around construction obstacles and off-road areas.
• Washes residual concrete and keeps the truck clean and operable.
