Job summary

Gerhold Concrete Company, a CRH Company, seeks a Ready‑Mix Driver in Seward, NE to transport freshly mixed concrete to job sites, ensuring safety and compliance. You will perform routine equipment checks, adjust mixer loads, and maintain clean, safe vehicle operation daily.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Class A/B CDL with a valid Medical Card, and ability to pass DOT drug and background checks. Evening/nights/workweek hours may apply per site needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in ready mixed trucks or related industry preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a Class A or Class B CDL.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Medical Card per DOT requirements.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Department of Transportation requirements including licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
• Operates truck in a safe and professional manner to deliver materials.
• Inspects the truck at start of day and completes the Driver Check-off Sheet.
• Maneuvers and backs truck to receive concrete from the batching plant or hopper.
• Climbs the mixer truck ladder to check load and drum cleanliness.
