Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking a CDL Program Director to lead the program in Piedmont VA CC Charlottesville area. The role includes curriculum development, staff guidance, and program performance improvement to support student success.

The director will hire and mentor Driver Trainers, monitor student progress, advise students, and collaborate with faculty to maintain high program quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Industry certification in the field of instruction or knowledge equivalent.
• 5 years of industry experience in instruction.
• 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of federal FMCSA and state DMV standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the CDL program and oversee curriculum development and implementation.
• Hire, orient, develop and evaluate Driver Trainers within the program(s).
• Lead regular faculty meetings and ensure records and compliance with regulations.
• Support student advising, retention, and outreach to assist at‑risk students and ensure program success.
