Job summary

Ancora Education in Springfield, IL seeks a CDL Program Director to lead the CDL program, drive curriculum development, and provide training to the Account management group. This 100% traveling, full-time exempt role encompasses hiring and mentoring Driver Trainers, advising students during the provisional period, and supporting student services and outcomes.

Qualifications

• CDL License is required.
• 3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment.
• 5 years of industry experience in the field of instruction.
• 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
• Ability to qualify as a CDL Driver/ Driver Trainer.
• Knowledge regarding faculty development, including requirements, delivery methods, and reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to students including academic advising and tutoring referrals; leads student retention initiatives; maintains regular contact with students and tracks attendance and progress.
• Oversees curriculum, instructional materials, equipment, and facilities; acts as subject matter expert and provides feedback for curriculum development and revision; provides weekly cohort performance recaps.
• Oversees faculty performance and development; orients, mentors, and supervises Driver Trainers; attends faculty meetings; communicates program trends and changes; maintains knowledge of regulations and accreditation standards; participates in government and accreditation reports; collaborates with peers for program coordination.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associate’s Degree or higher, documented specialized competency within the field of instruction, or equivalent work experience in the field of instruction
