Job summary

Ball State University Facilities Planning and Management seeks a Facil Landscape Worker CDL to maintain campus grounds. This full-time on-campus role runs 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with competitive pay and benefits.

You will operate mowers, perform planting, edging, and seasonal tasks, while following safety guidelines and university policies. The ideal candidate holds a CDL, is physically capable for demanding landscaping duties, and is ready to contribute to a clean,

Qualifications

Must hold a Commercial Driver License and be insurable under the University’s auto fleet policy.
Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, and University policies, procedures, and communications.
Must be able to perform all mental and physical requirements as outlined in each job duty.
Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred: Experience in commercial landscaping and lawn care.

Responsibilities

Perform lawn maintenance using various mowers and edging tools.
Landscape installation and maintenance including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers.
Perform lawn installation with soil prep, seeding, hydro-seeding, or sod.
Perform leaf collection and disposal using rakes, blowers, and vacuums.
Perform snow removal using shovels, salt spreaders, and plows.
Perform trash/recycling collection and disposal and assist with events.
Perform equipment maintenance and safe operation of landscaping tools.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
