Job summary

The University of Louisville Belknap Campus seeks a Groundskeeper II to maintain lawns, trees, and landscapes across the Health Sciences Center area. This full-time, on-site role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate commercial mowing and landscaping equipment.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, fertilizing, weed and insect control, snow removal, and reports to foremen. A high school diploma or GED with two years' relevant experience is required, along with pesticide

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability by university.
• Kentucky applicator’s license to handle pesticides.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, mulching, and fertilizing.
• Care for trees and shrubs; prune and trim.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
• Monitor and maintain irrigation systems.
• Perform snow and ice removal from walkways and lots.
• Respond to emergencies as required and report issues.
• Complete required paperwork and trainings.
