Job summary

Ball State University is seeking a Facilities Landscape Worker to lead and assist in the maintenance of campus grounds on a full-time on-campus basis. Responsibilities include mowing, edging, planting, and equipment use, with a schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

The role demands the ability to train staff and student workers, perform heavy physical tasks, and operate a variety of landscape machinery while adhering to safety standards. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years experience in grounds maintenance.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and be insurable under university policy.
• Ability to read and follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in lawn maintenance duties including mowing, edging, and trimming.
• Train Facilities and Landscape Workers and student employees.
• Install and maintain landscape beds and plant material.
• Lead leaf collection, snow removal, and equipment maintenance duties.

Skills
