Job summary

York Technical College is hiring a CDL Lab Facilitator to manage student documentation and supervise hands-on CDL practice. The role ensures compliance with FMCSA/DOT requirements and coordinates with admissions, financial aid, and external providers to streamline onboarding.

The facilitator also supports non-driving practice sessions, safety protocols, and tutoring for inspection steps, while assisting with program operations and events that promote workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
• At least two years of experience in administrative recordkeeping and data management.
• A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT documentation processes for entry-level drivers.
• Applicants indicating degree(s) on the application may be required to provide unofficial copies of transcripts in the application process and official transcript upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage confidential student records from application through program completion.
• Monitor documentation: CDL permit, DOT medical card, MVR checks, drug screens and compliance items.
• Serve as primary contact for students regarding documentation deadlines and program expectations.
• Coordinate with admissions, financial aid and external service providers for onboarding.
• Support CDL program operations through events and campus activities.
• Provide tutoring support for inspection steps and required documentation.
