Job summary

Roadmaster Drivers School is hiring Class A CDL instructors at many of our Truck Driving Schools nationwide. Use your CDL-A driving experience to train students to become CDL drivers, and go home every night with your family. Top pay includes $60,515–$67,925 per year with OT, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Full-time positions are available with a standard Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends or holidays. Responsibilities include demonstrating driving operations, overseeing equipment safety,

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL License.
• 3 years of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience.
• Clean MVR and background.
• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrable intellectual and leadership abilities.
• Able to perform over-the-road, basic skills, and classroom instruction.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable work attendance.
• Able to obtain and maintain licensure as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate assigned driving operations for students on a regular basis.
• Oversee the safe operation and use of equipment when used by students, ensuring policy and standards are followed.
• Supervise all assigned trainees and complete attendance forms and training records.
• Provide in-person daily instruction to students in Pre-Trip Inspection, Basic Control Skills, and Road Driving.

What to Expect Day-to-Day:

• Demonstrate assigned driving operations for students on a regular basis
• Oversee the safe operation and use of equipment when being used by students, ensuring that the company policy and standards are being adhered to
• Supervise all assigned trainees and complete the necessary documentation for each person, such as student attendance forms and training records
• Provide in-person daily instruction to students in the following areas: Full Pre-Trip Inspection, Basic Control Skills, and Road Driving

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL License

• Be able to perform duties of over-the-road, basic skills, and classroom instruction as assigned
