Roadmaster Drivers School is hiring a CDL Class A instructor to mentor the next generation of truck drivers. The role covers classroom and on‑road training with emphasis on safety, inspections, and driving skills.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record within stated limits.
• Minimum 3 years of over-the-road or local driving experience.
• Must pass and maintain DOT physical and required drug tests (DOT and hair follicle).
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and lead training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate driving operations to students on a regular basis.
• Oversee safe operation and use of equipment used by students.
• Supervise trainees and complete attendance forms and training records.
• Provide in-person daily instruction in Full Pre-Trip Inspection, Basic Control Skills and Road Driving.

Driving records not complying with the foregoing will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.Must have a minimum of 3 years over the road or local commercial driving experience, and/or minimum criteria required to obtain instructor licensure within the applicable jurisdiction and meet all other licensure requirements.Must pass and continuously maintain a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical which is issued in accordance with all regulations and recommendations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, pass an approved DOT drug test and hair follicle drug test (HFT) and agree to random and suspicion-based drug and alcohol screening.Must have the ability to effectively communicate with others using verbal and non-verbal/written skills. Must possess and demonstrate the physical, intellectual and leadership ability to deliver the company’s approved training and curriculum to students in the areas of classroom, full pre-trip inspection, basic control skills and road driving.Must successfully complete all required new hire onboarding and training in a timely manner, as well as continuing education as required by the company.We know benefits are critical and we are committed to offering comprehensive and affordable options for you and your loved ones.
