Job summary

Roadmaster Drivers School is seeking Class A CDL instructors to train the next generation of truck drivers. Earn $65,455+ with OT per year plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays, and opportunities for professional growth across our nationwide network.

You will provide in-person daily instruction, supervise trainees, and ensure safe operation of equipment while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL License.
• 2 years of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience.
• Clean MVR and background; ability to obtain and maintain licensure as required by state regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Must be able to perform over-the-road, basic skills, and classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate assigned driving operations for students regularly.
• Oversee safe operation and use of equipment with adherence to company policy.
• Supervise trainees and complete attendance forms and training records.
• Provide in-person daily instruction in Pre-Trip Inspection, Basic Control Skills, and Road Driving.

What to Expect Day-to-Day:

• Demonstrate assigned driving operations for students on a regular basis
• Oversee the safe operation and use of equipment when being used by students, ensuring that the company policy and standards are being adhered to
• Supervise all assigned trainees and complete the necessary documentation for each person, such as student attendance forms and training records
• Provide in-person daily instruction to students in the following areas: Full Pre-Trip Inspection, Basic Control Skills, and Road Driving

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL License
• 2 years of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience
• Clean MVR and background
• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication skills
• Possess demonstrable intellectual and leadership abilities
• Be able to perform duties of over-the-road, basic skills, and classroom instruction as assigned
• Regular, reliable, and predictable work attendance is a must
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensure as required by applicable state regulations
