Job summary

Driving Academy is seeking a hands-on CDL Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction at our yard, guiding students through pre-trip inspections, parking maneuvers, and road driving in real-world conditions.

You will grade performance, track practice time, enforce safety policies, and coordinate with yard operations to move and inspect vehicles. A valid CDL-A and a clean record are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience
• Valid CDL-A with clean driving record
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Instructs students to operate CDL vehicles (tractor trailers, buses)
• Teaches parking maneuvers using varied methods
• Pre-trip and in-cab inspections preparation for CDL testing
• Prepares materials for simulator lessons and tests; grades performance
• Tracks student time in vehicles and enforces safety policies
• Maintains paperwork and records for students and yard
• Moves vehicles between locations in the training yard
• Oversees safe operation on public roads
• Performs other related duties as assigned
