160 Driving Academy, the country’s largest CDL training school with 90+ locations, seeks a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer. You teach students from pre-trip inspections to the CDL exam, in yards and on the road, based at a designated yard.

Qualifications

• High school graduation certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL with a minimum of 24 months of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience (Nevada exception: 5 years).
• The state where you obtained your license must be the same as the applying location.
• Manual transmission experience and ability to teach.
• MVR free of violations and able to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Residence in the applying state or relocation plan.
• 90-day probationary period at hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills in outdoor yards using both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on the first attempt.
• Track attendance and progress; provide additional support when needed.
• Maintain training records and documentation; report incidents to lead and corporate.
