Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a CDL Guardrail & Highway Maintenance Technician to perform highway maintenance tasks and related duties under supervision. The role involves interpreting plans, installing guardrail layouts, and handling materials with power tools in diverse conditions.

The ideal candidate holds a Class A/B CDL, is 18+, and has a Virginia driver’s license with clean record. Benefits include excellent medical plans, generous PTO, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Class A or B CDL required.
• Virginia driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Construction background/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and schematics.
• Install and set up Highway Guardrail layouts.
• Handle and place materials for guardrail installation.
• Load/unload materials, dig holes, and use power tools.
• Operate Post Pounder/Driver Truck and highway maintenance equipment.
• Use hand tools (shovels, rakes, brooms) and power tools.
• Work in varied weather conditions and perform heavy labor.
• Respond to emergencies and support storm cleanup.
