Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician/Guardrail Installer to perform a range of highway maintenance tasks and related duties under close supervision. Training will be provided to develop routine roadway maintenance skills in compliance with regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include repairing guardrails, setting up layouts, handling materials, operating post pounder/truck and power tools, and supporting drainage and sign work.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL required.
• Virginia driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Construction background/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and schematics for highway work.
• Install and set up highway guardrail layouts.
• Handle materials for guardrail installation and maintenance.
• Operate equipment used for highway maintenance (post pounder/truck, power tools).
• Perform weather-dependent outdoor duties and heavy lifting.
• Assist with drainage, fence and sign work, and storm cleanup.
