Job summary

The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is seeking an Agency Instructor to deliver CDL and heavy equipment training in Mesquite, TX. You will teach in classroom and field settings, provide technical assistance, and help maintain updated curriculum to meet learner needs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, five years of Class A CDL operation, and experience in adult education. Relocation within 40 miles of Mesquite may be considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of verifiable Class A CDL operations including heavy equipment and transportation experience.
• Experience on two or more of: Aerial Work Platforms, Backhoe, Bulldozer, Dump Truck, Excavator, Forklift, Front End Loader, Maintainer, Skid Steer.
• One year of adult education and/or training.
• Equivalency: Associate’s Degree with 3 years related experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year related experience; all include one year of adult education.
• Valid Class A Texas Commercial Driver License held for at least five years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and field instruction for CDL, heavy equipment, and transportation safety programs.
• Provide technical assistance and use various media to present course materials.
• Update and modify curriculum content to meet learners' needs.
