Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking an experienced CDL Driver Trainer to lead trucking training programs at the Dallas/Irving, TX location. The role focuses on classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, and safety compliance under supervision of the Program Director or Lead Trainer.

The candidate must hold a valid CDL, have at least 2 years of road experience within the last 5 years, and pass DOT physical and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL required; Class level must meet position requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable on-the-road driving experience in the last 5 years.
• MVR and background checks including drug screening required.
• Must pass DOT physical and DOT drug screen; maintain Medical Examiner Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Convenes classes at scheduled start and end times.
• Instructs and trains students in trucking/driving disciplines.
• Administers written tests and evaluates grades.
• Performs pre-trip inspections and air-brake tests.
• Demonstrates driving maneuvers and backing techniques.
• Maintains accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Ensures confidentiality of student records and compliance with policies.
