Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Grapple Driver to operate refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes through Town of Florida, NY. You will supervise route helpers, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure timely, courteous service to residents while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B valid for the state of employment.
• Clean driving record is required.
• At least 1 year of CDL-driven experience within the past 7 years.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and write English to communicate with customers and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives refuse collection truck on pre-established routes.
• Oversees helpers on the route and ensures work is performed safely.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic truck maintenance per DOT guidelines.
• Maintains truck cleanliness and proper fuel and fluid levels.
• Loads and unloads refuse, yard waste, or recycling on assigned routes.
