Job summary

Waste Pro of Florida is seeking a Grapple Driver in Fort Pierce to operate refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes. You will oversee helpers, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure safe, timely service on designated routes for garbage, yard waste, or recycling.

Must hold a Class A or B CDL, have at least 1 year of CDL experience in the past 7 years, and be 21+. English communication and DOT compliance are required. Regular reports and vehicle maintenance are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A or B CDL for the operating state.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a CDL vehicle within the last 7 years.
• Must be 21+ years old and able to read, speak, and write English.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT/state vehicle requirements.
• Must pass background and driving record checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives on pre-established routes and collects garbage and recyclables.
• Oversees helpers on the assigned route and ensures timely service.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keeps records per company DOT guidelines.
• Unloads refuse at landfill/transfer station and maintains truck cleanliness.
• Completes required reports and documents; complies with safety standards.
